Ahh, yes. Sunrise in Colorado. If you can stomach getting up while it’s still dark, there really isn’t a better, quieter time outside. The trails are empty and to be honest, I’m missing my sunrise hikes and runs and photoshoots just as much as my coffee dates and yoga classes. If nothing else, it’s a great lesson in impermanence… everything is temporary, including this and before we know it we’ll be back on the trails, running with our friends and kids and saying things like, “come over for a drink later” or “let’s go out to dinner tonight” and then (and here’s the great part) we’ll actually be able to do it. And we’ll go out to our favorite restaurant and eat and laugh with friends, or we’ll open that bottle of wine we’ve been saving for “something special” because seeing your sisters and brothers and neighbors and friends IS something very special. We just took it for granted before now. See you on the other side friends!
